Activate the SICL-LAN Server on the ENA:

  1. On the ENA press the System button.
  2. Navigate through the menus Misc Setup >> Network Setup.
  3. Turn on the SICL-LAN Server and set the SICL-LAN Address as desired.

  4. Select Return and the ENA will prompt you to reboot the firmware.  Allow the ENA to reboot.

Connecting to an existing network:

  1. Connect both the computer and the ENA to the network using standard LAN cables.
  2. Determine the IP address of the ENA.  You may need to attach a keyboard and mouse to gather this information.
  3. Continue to "Configuring the ENA within Spartan".
Connecting to the ENA directly:
  1. Connect the computer and the ENA together via a LAN crossover cable.
  2. Configure the computer to have the following TCP/IP properties.

  3. Configure the ENA to have the following TCP/IP properties.  You may need to attach a keyboard and mouse to change this information.

  4. Continue to "Configuring the ENA within Spartan".
Configuring the ENA within Spartan:
  1. From within the Spartan Test Stations Editor configure the instrument.
  2. Select IP/LAN and enter the IP address obtained in step 2 of "Connecting to an existing network" or set in step 3 of "Connectin to the ENA directly".  Also enter the SICL address that was set in step 3 of "Activate the SICL-LAN Server on the ENA".
      or  
  3. The ENA is now setup to operate within the Spartan system.
